It is the law for every fire extinguishercommercial or residentialto be serviced annually. At Weber & Troseth, we are frequently able to perform this as a walk-in service so as to keep you on your way.

6-year inspection

Every 6 years from the manufacturing date, all fire extinguishers will need a 6 year inspection as well as a full refill to manufacturer standards. 

Refilling and inspection will also be immediately necessary if your extinguisher has been discharged for any reason, regardless of if it was completely emptied.

No appointment is needed to get your 6 year refill scheduled. Come on in, drop off your equipment and we can give you an estimate as to when we will be able to get your extinguisher back to you.

12-year pressure testing

Every 12 years from the manufacturing date, most fire extinguishers will need a low pressure hydrostatic test. At Weber & Troseth, we are able to do this hydrostatic testing on site without needing to outsource.

No appointment is needed to get your 12 year tests scheduled. Come on in and we can give you an estimate as to when we will be able to get your equipment back to you.

If your extinguisher has been serviced before, you can read the service tag attached to the top, this will have a month an day identified as well as which tech serviced it last. If it's been a year since then, come on in!

Not only is this annual service required by law, but over time, there is a risk of damage or leaks occurring in your extinguishers. It is essential for these to be checked for so there is never a risk of your fire suppression not working when you need it most. 

Either printed on your label, or stamped into the metal on the bottom of the fire extinguisher, you will find the manufacturing date. If that date is over 6 years ago, or has not had a thorough inspection or test in 6 years, you are likely ready for this service.

If you're in doubt, you can bring in your extinguisher for an annual inspection and the team will inform you if you need this service yet, or if you only need an annual inspection.

Over time, there is a risk of the contents in your extinguisher can get compacted or clumping together due to leaking or moisture. This can cause your equipment to become less effective in an emergency. This inspection also checks for any damage like cracks or rust. 

We make sure your extinguishers are in perfect working order and at no risk for failure.
